Richard Cranium was formed in 1993 by Bryan Teague (Lead Guitar/Vocs), Roger Shattuck (Bass/Vocs), and Jack Canaday (Drums/Mooning) at Fort Hood, TX. In 1994 Mike Dye joined (lead singer/additional lead guitar) and it was giggin' time until the money could be had to record. Each and every member of this band is former Army. National opening gigs include; Sevendust, Coal Chamber, Bob Goblin, Pushmonkey, Atticus Finch and some more I can't remember. The album was released in 1996 and was rejected by the masses who were listening to the "Friends" TV show theme and the Gin Blossums at the time. This is a meat and potatos rock and roll band. No frill, no lights, no BS just music and attitude. The band went separate ways in 1998, but still maintain contact and hope to create more music eventually. The ultimate goal of this band was to make music on it's own terms and give the music industry a giant Bronx cheer. Thank you Denny, Biddy and Bill Gates for this awesome venue to do just that! |
