Our singer Chris Henderson will be performing the National Anthem and then we will perform as an acoustic trio for the Key Ceremony - as Corporal Tyler Southern and his wife Ashley will be presented with the key to their new, beautiful home. We were part of the initial kickoff ceremony in August 2011 and are so proud that we can be there for this next special chapter in Tyler and Ashley's lives.

An AA Turkey Day Message!
A message from American Attitude wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and new tune!
Hello Friends! All of us in American Attitude wanted to take a quick moment to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday. Although times are tough in the world right now, it’s nice to stop for a second and reflect on the wonderful things that we all have in our lives. All of us in American Attitude have a lot to be thankful for, and we are truly thankful for each and every one of you that supports us. We regret to announce that Matt will be deploying again with the Navy and won’t be back until around February 2012. It saddens us that he won’t be home for Christmas, as well as the thousands of troops that will not be home with their families during the holidays. We respectfully request that you say a special prayer and keep all of our American heroes in your thoughts throughout the holiday season – and always! It’s been a while since we have released any new tunes, so as a special gift, we are releasing our demo track for our song “Requiem!” It’s a heavy, rockin’ song and we think that you will like it. We’ve been performing it live for a while now and it has always received a great response. It’s the perfect musical companion while you’re chomping down on a turkey drumstick tomorrow! Give it a listen and let us know what you think. We truly want to thank YOU for a fantastic year and we hope to see and hear from all of you in 2012. Let’s make it even better!! Chris, Matt, Marc, and Shawn – American Attitude =A*A=

Update & Our Unit Inspection
An update on American Attitude and the recent unit inspection that Marc, Chris, and Shawn went through
Hello Friends! We know it has been a while since we last updated you on what has been going on in the world of American Attitude. As some of you may know, Marc, Chris, and I (Shawn) have been working hard at our unit, the 125th Fighter Wing; preparing for a UCI and LCAP (Unit Compliance Inspection and Logistics Compliance Assessment Program). The inspectors arrived last week and just departed today before providing the out brief. We are proud to say that everyone’s hard work at the 125th Fighter Wing has paid off. The 125th Fighter Wing did OUTSTANDING in both inspections and essentially set the new standard for all other units. Basically, the 125th Fighter Wing IS the premiere Fighter Wing in the United States Air Force! Since the 1990’s, there has only been one other Fighter Wing in the ENTIRE Air Force that has a compliance level higher than the 125th! We are even more proud to say that American Attitude’s very own Master Sergeant Marc Myers was recognized by the Air Combat Command Inspector General as one of the Superior Performers for the UCI inspection. Congrats to Marc – and also again to Matt for his recent Sailor of The Year accomplishment. Heck, if this music thing doesn’t work out, they may actually pan out in the military! Now that this inspection is over, we hope to get a few hours of sleep and then we will start to focus on the next challenges in all of our lives and careers, but we hope that we can now get back to creating new and exciting music for everyone. As 2012 gets closer, we will all have several TDY’s and short deployments that we will have to take part in, Chris will become a father in January, and my military career path may get shifted into another arena, but we will continue to remain dedicated to our music, friends, fans, and GI Jams! We do have a special concert coming up on November 12th 2011 that we are really looking forward to. American Attitude and 3 other artists that feature actively serving military members of the 125th Fighter Wing (including the band Break Red – also on GI Jams) will be performing on the same night, as part of a Veteran’s Day/After Inspection Party for all of our friends. That should be a fun show and we hope to see as many people there as possible! Looking back over this busy year, we all can’t thank you enough for sticking with us through everything. We realize that we aren’t the most tradition band; being that we’re four busy military guys – and we truly wish that our schedules allowed for us to create more music and play more shows for everyone. But for the few that truly understand and appreciate what we do, we hope that we can find a way to repay you one day. Until then, we can only say thanks a million times! From Chris, Marc, Matt, and Shawn – we hope to see and hear from you all soon. Until then, keep the American Attitude!

Matt - Sailor of the Year!
American Attitude discusses their Bass players recent award and provides a band update
Hello Friends! American Attitude would like to congratulate our amazing bass player Matt Smithers for being awarded VR-62's SELRES Sailor of The Year Award! This is a huge accomplishment and Matt will be recognized in Washington D.C. in late October. We couldn't be more proud of him and thank Matt for his meritorious service to the United States Navy. Please join us in congratulating him! It has been an extremely busy month and a half since we posted our last blog. Marc, Chris, and I continue to prepare for our units upcoming Unit Compliance Inspection (we will be so happy when it’s over). Chris just returned from a short work trip in Massachusetts and there is already word of several short deployments that may affect us in 2012. But in the midst of all of this, we have still had some time to do some recording and perform at a few shows. Hopefully, we’ll have some new music for you to listen to very soon. American Attitude has a huge show coming up on October 1st 2011; as we have partnered with Bands Against Breast Cancer for the 4th Annual Boobsapalooza Festival which raises money for breast cancer awareness. It will be an all-day event at Jacksonville Beach, Florida and we’re expecting a very large audience! We sincerely hope that all of our friends, fans, and fellow GI Jams artists have been doing wonderful and we hope to see you all again soon. Once again, we are so happy for Matt and his tremendous accomplishment! Have a Rockin’ weekend! Chris, Marc, Matt, and Shawn =A*A=

Homes for Our Troops
American Attitude performed at a Homes For Our Troops event, for Corporal Tyler Southern
We were so honored to perform this morning for Corporal Tyler Southern, his family, Homes for Our Troops, and all of the volunteers this morning! It was an amazing experience to see many people pulling together to build a home for one of our true American Heroes! Everyone was so wonderful and we can't thank Jessica, Doreen, and everyone with Homes For Our Troops for inviting us out; as well as Denny & Biddy. Of course, Tyler and his family will have to have a house warming party soon, so we promised to come back and rock his entire neighborhood!
