I was raised in Bancroft, Maine, a small town close to the Canadian Border. I learned at an early age what it meant to work for a living; how to shovel snow, cut wood, cut grass and rake blue berries. In college I learned how to play guitar via the Monkey-See; Monkey-Do method; it was just enough to strum a few chords and muscle through some melodies...A seed was planted. After college I joined the Marine Corps and learned what it means to serve, to put others before self, to be proud of Our Flag and Country and find Faith. It was through this experience that I discovered the slow southern charm of the Carolinas and two worlds collided. I am currently on active duty at Camp Lejeune, NC as a Regional Manager for the Marine For Life program. I have the best of both worlds now and love raising my family in the south and visiting my family up north. They all have been my inspiration! Songwriting has been a great hobby for me and the completion of my first CD titled "Why I Write" was personally, very rewarding. My second CD is titled "Bridge Out Back" and I have started selecting tunes for my third album. Thanks for listening! Jerard
