Biography:
As a great supporter of those who serve us in our military and a much appreciated supporter and friend of GI Jams, Michael Lloyd will be donating his experience, time and great talent, when possible, to helping us at GI Jams in our mission to present the songs and performances of our musical military artists.
Michael’s incredible talents as record producer, songwriter/composer and a music supervisor for motion pictures and TV has yielded over 100 gold and platinum records and spans six decades of hits. His records and music, ranging from Pop & Rock and Country & Jazz to R&B & Gospel, have been recognized by the Grammys, the American Music Awards, the Academy Awards and The Golden Globe Awards.
Michael has worked with countless top artists including Barry Manilow, Belinda Carlisle, Dionne Warwick, Air Supply, The Pointer Sisters, Lou Rawls, The Bellamy Brothers and Benny Mardones, to name just a few, and, among his many successful relationships with the major record companies, he served as Vice President of A&R at MGM Records. Additionally, he has provided scoring, music supervision and production for several hundred motion pictures, TV movies and shows as well as being the music supervisor for the “Dirty Dancing” motion picture and its album (the all time best selling multi-artist soundtrack album which garnered the Diamond Award for sales of over 10 million), including the blockbuster #1 hit song and record from the movie “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” which Michael produced.
Michael is featured in the ‘Who’s Who in America’, in ‘California’ and in ‘Entertainment’ and in Finance & Industry and he is Chairman of the Entertainment Industry Advisory Board for the Child Safety Network.
It is a great contribution to both GI Jams as an organization and to all of our musical military artists to have Michael Lloyd on our Board Of Advisors and to have the benefit of his great talents, which we know first hand that he gives with the greatest of appreciation and support for those who serve us in our military.
