How to Fight a War

Rock

Founded by drummer USAF SSgt Jeremy Hill in 2008 along with current guitarist USAF SSgt Mike Tulsky, and lead vocalist Tate Coussens the band has been working out Suffolk County in southeast England since. They have a newer sound with metal / hardcore overtones and powerful pop-punk vocal courses they make for an excellent untapped sound that has not truly been heard yet. Everyone in the band hails from a different background which proves to work out for a positive mix. Each holds strong to different genres of music that all seem to melt together in the metal forging grounds to make their unique sound. Since the release of the initial E.P. Defining Humanity Part I: Another Way to Die..., they have added their newest members Karl Olsen as lead guitarist, and USAF A1C Phil Crews as bassist. They took 5th in the 2009/10 Peoples Music Awards in London. The awards review says “Neighbors’ in Bury St Edmunds, would do well to start stocking up on sandbags and body armor because How To Fight a War sound like they are about to kick off. Harsh breakdowns and coruscating vocals combine to make an ear battering racket loud enough to rock any rock club’s rafters, if not start the said war. Describing themselves as Metalcore they possess a thick sound with plenty of rough edges, but they do introduce vocal harmonies, more akin to late 90s Deftones era metal, to bring a note of light relief. Apparently vocalist Tate is so angry he ‘ruptures the atmosphere with screams that will mortally wound the weak,’ so don’t say you haven’t been warned!” They are currently working on the second album which it is going to be a full length. Defining Humanity Part II: The Dead Line…Forgotten Files due to come out in end of February. They are preparing to start touring in March with new material. The tour is looking to encompass the UK. They are planning Shows as far as Italy, Germany, France, Spain, and possibly the Netherlands ending next year. Look for them playing near you. Soon!
